I attended Central Michigan University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Speech with a Theatre concentration and a minor in Health Education.
I have been serving at Cadillac Heritage in some capacity since 2009. I have served in the past as an aide in the Kindergarten, 1st/2nd, and 3rd/4th grades. I have taught 7th-10th grade Bible and geography, and team taught in the 2nd and 3rd grade. I did my student teaching in 2006 at Cadillac Junior High and High School. There, I taught Radio Production, assisted with T.V. Production, and co-coached the Forensics team.
I cherish my time here at Heritage above all my other teaching opportunities. I praise God for leading me here when my own children were very young and opening my eyes to C.H.C.S. What a wonderful place to serve, worship, learn, grow in Christ, and to receive and give God’s love within a family of other believers.
I grew up in the Leroy/Tustin area and graduated from Pine River. Upon graduating from C.M.U., my husband and I moved to Cadillac to be closer to my family. I currently serve as the Children’s Church Director at Church of Discovery in Cadillac. I also have been given the opportunity to sing on the church worship team.
My husband Sean and I have been blessed with 3 beautiful daughters; Ivy, Ruby, and Hazel. Our children attend C.H.C.S. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside with my family, collecting rocks, going for walks, swimming, hiking, gardening, camping, and riding bikes.
The word of God serves as a guide to my daily life. I yearn to grow closer to God each day and to let His Holy Spirit guide my words and actions. I fully rely on God for wisdom as a mother, wife, teacher, friend, daughter, sister, coworker, and every other role I step into. I trust in the Lord with all of my heart! He is my refuge and strength. I have so many scriptures I cling to but one of my favorites is:
2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
