Bachelors – Universidad de Concepcion, Chile
10 years teaching experience
In 1993 I arrived in America as a newlywed, just married to my dear husband Jon.We now have three wonderful children and we are so thankful for their precious lives. One of my dreams was to teach in a Christian school and to raise my kids in a Christian atmosphere. Ten years later my husband Jon and I moved to northern Michigan and God started making the connections with people related to this school. He knows the desires of our hearts and in His time He fulfills them. “Rejoice in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” I have been teaching Spanish since 2006 and it has been an amazing experience.
All my family lives in Chile, where I was born and raised. I studied at the Universidad de Concepcion where I got a bachelor’s degree as an English Spanish Translator. I worked in short term missions as interpreter in Argentina and Chile and with different Christian organizations. I taught English for three years at a Technical Institute in Concepcion, my hometown.
I love the kids at Heritage; they are hard workers, they are respectful, and they love God so much. It’s a delight to hear them singing, praying, playing games in Spanish, and speaking the language that I love.
“One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.” -Psalm 27:4
I love this verse because it’s my heart’s desire to be always aware of the sweet presence of God in my life and adore Him…He is so good!
