I’m Mrs. Crawley and I teach multiple subjects at the secondary level. I am also the CHCS high school volleyball coach. I came to Cadillac Heritage Christian School in the fall of 2011 and I can honestly say that there is no place that I’d rather be fulfilling my childhood dream career!
I grew up in Lake City and attended Lake City Schools from pre-school through the twelfth grade, all while learning to love learning! Education became my passion and I knew from a very young age that I wanted no other career than to be a teacher. Unfortunately, after graduating from a five-year program in college, I found that teaching positions were scarce. After three years I decided to pursue a second interest as an RN. Though there were parts of that profession that I enjoyed, I did not feel the total satisfaction, fulfillment, and joy that I feel when I am in the classroom. I found myself moving back to the schools, first as an aide, then eventually as a teacher with classes of my own!
I was a student-athlete in school and I still thoroughly enjoy both participating in and watching sports, which is why I feel so blessed to be able to share my enthusiasm and skills with the girls at CHCS as I coach the high school volleyball team. I also love music and singing, enjoy arts and crafts of all sorts, am a leader of my church youth group, and participate in a couple’s small group regularly. I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to share my love of learning and Christian example with the students at CHCS!
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends – John 15:12-13
